Nature-Oriented Pension Pumpkin is a charming, four-room inn nestled at the foot of the Northern Alps in Hakuba Village, in an area called Misorano.

We offer natural, macrobiotic meals completely free of animal products, making it a perfect choice for vegetarians and vegans. We also cater to guests with food allergies. Additionally, with prior reservations, you can enjoy just lunch or dinner without an overnight stay.

The interior of the inn features walls made from natural materials like diatomaceous earth, lime plaster, and a scallop shell-derived paint called Chaff Wall—providing a safe, chemical-free environment for guests with sensitivities.

    Our duvet covers are crafted from Indian cotton sourced in Etawah, becoming softer and more comfortable with each wash. The fitted sheets are made from organic cotton. We prioritize both comfort and cleanliness to ensure a restful stay.

    The walls of the guest rooms, dining area, and hallways are made from 100% natural materials, including diatomaceous earth, lime plaster, and Chaff Wall, a scallop shell-derived material. This creates a safe environment for guests with chemical sensitivities or allergies.

    No animal products are used in our meals. The rice is enzyme-treated brown rice, slow-cooked in a pressure cooker to bring out an extraordinary flavor. You can also savor organic vegetables, carefully grown in the local Shinshu region.

  • Homemade natural yeast bread baked in a stone oven

    Our specialty is homemade bread made with natural yeast, baked in an outdoor stone oven! Depending on the weather, we may switch to pot-baked bread using Hoshino natural yeast. In either case, no sugar or oils are used, and the bread is made with domestically grown wheat.

Child (Preschooler) Rates

When a bed is required: Counted as part of the occupancy limit.
For children aged 3 to preschool age who do not require a bed (sharing a bed): 2,000yen.
Children aged 2 and under are free of charge.

About dinner

Our meals remain macrobiotic vegan cuisine prepared with organic vegetables and additive-free seasonings whenever possible. However, we have simplified the presentation slightly to a “set meal style” featuring one soup and three dishes served on a tray. Per person: 2,900yen

About Breakfast

Please order brown rice onigiri or 70% milled rice onigiri the night before (from ¥200). Depending on the day, we plan to sell bread and jam, as well as instant miso soup and other soups. If you require bread, please reserve at least 3 days in advance.
